Driven to lead with impact, Wendy is the Chief Executive Officer of the Alberta Cancer Foundation, a role she has held for close to four years. She leads the organization with a genuine passion to advance progress in cancer care and research through creative partnerships, engaging philanthropy and support from communities across Alberta. As CEO, Wendy is working to transform the organization into one of the strongest health care foundations in the country, propelled by a $250 million campaign to support future discoveries and breakthroughs at Calgary’s new Arthur J. E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre, scheduled to open in 2024.

A champion for health care innovation, Wendy has spent most of her career in health care leadership roles. Prior to the Alberta Cancer Foundation she was in senior roles at STARS where she was part of a team who helped expand the life-saving service into Saskatchewan and Manitoba. She also spent over a decade working within communications and community engagement roles in Alberta’s health care system.

Wendy has a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Calgary and currently sits on the Board of Trustees for the Open Circle Benefit Plan Trust. She is motivated by lifting people up and helping them turn intent into meaningful action. A proud Saskatchewan native, Wendy now calls Calgary home and enjoys traveling on culinary adventures, spectacular prairie summers and mentoring future leaders.

Bryan de Lottinville is a self-described “recovering lawyer”, backed by two decades in executive operational roles in both the bricks and mortar and tech worlds. Following his time as a corporate finance partner at a major Toronto Law firm, Bryan held leadership roles in several early-stage growth companies that achieved international scale and success, including SMED International (sold to Haworth, Inc.) and iStockphoto (sold to Getty Images Inc.) prior to his founding Benevity in Calgary in 2008. Benevity’s SaaS offering is used by much of the Fortune 1000, and its global ‘Goodness’ platform has generated and distributed more than $15 Billion and 76 million volunteering hours to just under 500,000 global non-profit organizations. In January, 2021 Benevity was sold to private equity for US$1.1 Billion.

An internationally recognized thought leader in the space, Bryan is a Top 100 Corporate Social Responsibility Influence Leader, Forbes Business Council contributor, Platform Calgary Advisory Council member and frequent speaker and blogger on corporate purpose. After 12 years as CEO of Benevity, Bryan transitioned to the Executive Chairperson role in 2021, where he continues to guide the vision of the company.

Bryan believes that the path to sustainable change is through grassroots engagement, cultural evolution and constructive disruption, both within companies and broader society. He has cultivated and nourished in Benevity a passionate culture and belief that providing people with more choice and opportunity to “do the right thing” will not only help people be their best selves, but also ignite an inherent desire within today’s socially conscious employees, customers and communities to become an extraordinary force for positive change in our world.
